iShoot Turkey: Amusing and Technologically Advanced

iShoot Turkey: Amusing and Technologically Advanced

I came across iShoot Turkey for iPhone among the top free games on the app store. As I was downloading it, I thought to myself that this is going to be another one of those download and delete kinda games, you know, the ones I download, play with for 20 seconds, decide are ridiculous and pointless, then delete. I was wrong.

Paper Toss for iPhone: I Dare you Not To Smile

Paper Toss for iPhone: I Dare you Not To Smile

No matter how many times I play games on the iPhone/iPod Touch, I never get enough of the graphics some of these games have. Call me old fashioned, but the fact the a game on a tiny mobile device can look so real and resemble a real life situation so much, is truly astounding. I have seen Paper Toss for iPhone in the top downloaded apps of the App Store for as long as I can remember, but I never bothered to download it, till today, and as I write this review, I am still smiling.

Facebook for BlackBerry: Time for an Upgrade (See iPhone App for Clues)

One of the trademark apps of the iPhone platform is the new edition of Facebook for iPhone. It is the most popular app by far, and not only due to the popularity of Facebook, but the app itself is amazing, which drives more downloads. Snaptu Will Make iPhone Users Want A BlackBerry

One of the main issues I have with my BlackBerry Bold is its small amount of application memory. What this means for me is that the vast majority of apps that I download, are deleted within 24 hours. I download them, check them out, and if they are not exciting to me, I delete them. Not only did I not delete Snaptu, but I put it on my main home screen, and use it daily. It completely changed the way I use the mobile Web on my BlackBerry.

This is actually one of the first iPhone apps to offer such a feature.

Ping! is The Future of Messaging on the iPhone

Ping! is The Future of Messaging on the iPhone

With the release of Ping! it looks like RIM’s Blackberry has nothing that the Apple iPhone hasn’t got! Ping!, which has been available in the App Store since the beginning of October, is an iPhone-to-iPhone messaging system equivalent to BBM (Blackberry Messenger). It is based on Apple Push Notification Service which uses push technology to forward notifications from 3rd party servers to iPhone or iPod touch connected to the internet (Check out Nimbuzz for another great use of Push Notification).

Turn your iPhone Into A Remote Control for VLC Media Player

One of the characteristics of the fast pace world we live in, is that new products replace old ones every day. When a new mobile phone comes out, one of the considerations consumers have when thinking of purchasing it, is what is coming out tomorrow? Will it be better than today? The answer is generally yes, and most good products are replaced very fast. This is true with mobile phones, it is true with computers, and it is true with software.
