Tunewiki for Android: Why Didn’t Google Think of That?

Tunewiki for Android: Why Didn’t Google Think of That?

There are some mobile apps that have become a leading name on one mobile platform, and then there are apps that have become leading names on multiple platforms. A few apps that come to mind that are relatively successful on various platforms include Fring, Waze, IM+, and Tunewiki. All of these apps have one thing in common, they all include a social aspect to them. Tunewiki was one of the first apps on the iPhone platform, in fact it was available even before the App Store existed. It became a huge success on the iPhone in no time, and it has now become the most dominant music player on the Android platform as well.

Weet Woo for iPhone Will Change the Way Kids Use the iPhone

Just yesterday my boss’s son joined us at the office after staying home from school. It wasn’t long before he was playing on my iPod Touch, which lasted a good solid few hours. Now, we are talking about an 8 year old kid here, and I could not help but think that the fact that he could pick up the device, find what to play with, and stay entertained for hours, is a clear indication of how good the Apple device really is.

Shazam for iPhone: Simple and Clever

One of the main reasons I got an iPhone was because of the music player that it uses. I love music, and can never get enough of it. When I am not listening to music on my iPhone, I usually listen to the radio. Now, if you’re anything like me, you probably never pay attention to the DJ when he announces the track. Name My Tune! for iPhone Will Keep you Nice and Occupied

With the 100,000 apps in the App Store, there is pretty much an app for anything, in fact, some even have two of the same exact app. That seems to be the case with Name My Tune and Name My Tunes (can’t make this stuff up). I did not try out the competition, but Name My Tune is a fun and simple app. If you cannot figure it out from the name, the app plays you a song from your library, gives you the option to guess the song, and grades you according to your success.

Beck’s Gig Finder for iPhone Keeps You Updated and Partying

I still get a kick out of it every time I hear about a big company that has absolutely nothing to do with the mobile space releasing an iPhone app. There is of course Starbucks, Pepsi’s attempt, and now the beverage company that makes Beck’s beer. The name of the app is Gig Finder and it is the most feature packed iPhone app to find concerts and other music events available in the App Store for free.
