Minigore for iPhone Video Review

Minigore for iPhone Video Review

Out of all the iPhones I have ever seen, none of them seemed to have Minigore, although it’s (in my opinion), one of the best titles for this mobile device. It’s completely underrated. This video review is my attempt to show off this great app, at $1.99. Video review after the break!

Angry Birds Video Review

Angry Birds Video Review

Angry Birds has been a huge success being the number one paid app in over twenty-six countries. It’s a feature filled game with 105 levels for the low price of $0.99. The game-play is simple. The pigs have taken your eggs, and you, the birds are angry. Very angry. You must now launch yourself at the pigs in their structures and blow them up to pass the level. The pigs hide in a variety of households made of glass, wood and metal. Sounds simple, and it’s true, the game involves a lot of luck but it’s super addicting. As the game goes on, you are presented with new birds to use such as blue birds that split into three when you tap the screen, yellow ones which gain a boost, black ones which explode and white ones which drop explosive eggs. Angry Birds has loads of personality with it’s fun sounds, designs and simple but clean graphics. Video after the break!

THE GAME OF LIFE Classic Edition Video Review

The Game of Life was first created in 1860, being updated many times and now available on the iPhone. It’s been out for a while now and has joined the successful board game conversions from EA such as Scrabble, Monopoly and Yahtzee. The game is usually 4.99 but is currently on sale for 1.99. In the game, you travel around a game board landing on spaces that will affect your virtual life. You start with school and end the game by retiring. You have jobs, children, houses, and other miscellaneous events which give you life tiles, which at the end of the game, add to your stash of money. All-in-One Gamebox – Video Review

All-in-One Gamebox – Video Review

All-in-One Gamebox is an app jam-packed with 26 games for the low price of 0.99 cents. It started last October with eight games and has quickly expanded it’s list with free updates. Almost every update they release contains a game or two, so it’s always exciting to see what’s next. However with all those games in one app one must ask, how good can the quality really be? The games range from driving games to shooting games and they all are relativity easy to figure out. I found some games to be feature filled and relatively good quality, probably even good enough to be sold on their own. Nethertheless, some games seemed straight-up rip offs of other games and some were entertaining for only a few minutes. I’m not going to review all 26 for sake of time, but I’ll do a quick run down of what the company calls their best eight. Video after the break!

3PtHoops for iPhone is A Little Too Basic

3PtHoops for iPhone is A Little Too Basic

If you have been reading my reviews/blog posts, you know by now that I generally either love an app or I hate it. I have said on many occasions that I like apps that are simple and intuitive, and despise apps that have a steep learning curve. It has not happened too often that I tried an app and was torn between loving it and hating it.

Glow Beats for iPhone Provides Some Good Old Fashioned Fun

Glow Beats for iPhone Provides Some Good Old Fashioned Fun

The brilliance of the iPhone OS is in many of its characteristics. There is the revolutionary touch interface, that, fanboy or not, you have to admit every company since the release of the first iPhone is trying to imitate. Yes, I know the iPhone has its shortcomings (ahem, multitasking), but let’s be honest, you can see a lot of the iPhone’s personality in Android, certain versions of Symbian, Maemo, and other mobile platforms. The thing is, no one does it as well as the creator, and everyone else seems to be playing Catch with Apple.

Sniper Strike for iPhone Had So Much Potential

Sniper Strike for iPhone Had So Much Potential

It does not happen very often that a mobile app manages to annoy me. Let me clarify that by saying that that is true at least about iPhone apps. Lord knows, there have been enough Android and Symbian apps that raised my blood pressure. Sniper Strike seemed like a pretty oool game to download. I mean, what kinda guy doesn’t like shooting, killing, and blood, right? How could you go wrong with such a game? That is what I thought until I tried it.

Cyberrunner for iPhone is Not for the Weak of Heart

Cyberrunner for iPhone is Not for the Weak of Heart

I have said it before and I will say it again. What makes a great app is not the amount of features packed in by the developer. On the contrary, people like things they can understand easily. That is why the iPhone itself is so popular. If I open an app and it does not include a “How to Use this App” section, it better be obvious how to use it within 20 seconds or I close the app and most likely delete it from my device.
