iPhone Apps for Movie Buffs – The Scene It? Collection

Movie fans will love the collection of apps from the makers of the popular DVD board game, Scene It?. In the same spirit of the traditional game, but sized-down for your iPhone, Scene It? is available in six (discovered so far) different apps: Movies, Comedy Movies, Horror, Twilight, Harry Potter, and 30 Rock.

iPhone App Reviews : 3 Great NBC TV Sitcom Apps

I watch a lot more TV in the fall and winter months than in the spring and summer.  Let’s face it – it gets cold out there, and this is the perfect time to catch up on missed episodes of 30 Rock, or to pull out some favorite DVDs and curl up with your favorite [...]

Free Taxi Apps

Free Taxi Apps

After having done the whole search-the-maps-app for a nearby taxi number countless of times, I decided to just check and see if there was an available iPhone app that would help me make it from bar to home safely (and legally). Turns out, there’s quite a few. Here’s the first three free taxi apps I found and a little information about each of them. The common theme is that they all use your iPhone’s GPS to determine your current location, letting you know what cab companies are in the area and how to reach them. The differences are subtle, but it’s nice to know we have options.

Must-Have iPhone Photo Apps

Must-Have iPhone Photo Apps

A frequent traveler – and foodie traveler in particular – I decided to up my photography game a little this spring and purchased a DSLR. A Canon Rebel XT, to be exact, and I was thrilled. I took beautiful pictures of food, people, and scenery… until it got stolen, just a couple of months after I purchased it.

iPhone 4 OS – Folder Feature

iPhone 4 OS – Folder Feature

I know there have been plenty of reviews surrounding the iPhone 4 OS that was released this month, and while there are plenty of new features to discuss – multi-tasking, threaded emails, etc., the most useful update – in my opinion – is the option to organize apps into folders.

Top 3 Apps for Bloggers

Top 3 Apps for Bloggers

As a personal blogger, a professional blogger, and as someone who just keeps coming up with new ideas for fun ways to share and display content online, I’ve found that there are three iPhone apps that I absolutely can not live without: DomainTyper, GoDaddy, and WordPress. These probably sound pretty obvious, especially since a large number of online publishers check new domain ideas on GoDaddy, and a lot of bloggers are using Wordpress to publish their content. Here’s why I think these three will take you from blogger to Blogger in three easy taps.

DomainTyper App – for Idea People

DomainTyper App – for Idea People

I have new ideas for new blogs and websites all the time. Mostly, this means I end up scribbling ideas down on a napkin somewhere, or digging for the notebook I keep in my purse – if I’ve remembered it.

One Man’s Trash? The (Unofficial) Craigslist iPhone App

One Man’s Trash? The (Unofficial) Craigslist iPhone App

Everyone who’s ever moved from one place into a new place can probably testify that Craigslist.org is their best friend during the whole process. Have a couch you’re not taking with you? Post it, sell it, move on. Need a couch at the new place? Search it, buy it, find a friend with a truck to help you haul it.

Why Everyone Who Ever Travels MUST Download, Use and Revere the TripIt App

Why Everyone Who Ever Travels MUST Download, Use and Revere the TripIt App

I love traveling. I took 10 trips in three months last summer, visited LA three separate times, Chicago three separate times, NYC and Las Vegas for the first time ever and saw old friends in Colorado and family in Alabama.

I fly OFTEN, and I love the convenience of things like online booking and how easy it can be to figure out public transportation in an unfamiliar place thanks to Google Maps. Up until recently, I’d keep all of this organized by keeping a folder in my carry-on bag. In it, you could find the printed out copies of my boarding pass, my itinerary as printed out from Orbitz.com, Expedia.com, or whatever other booking service I used, my hotel confirmation, and other travel information I needed such as maps, and bus and train schedules.
