Are you looking to improve the overall look of your desk? Try out slideshow builder for the iPhone! It allows you to quickly create gorgeous slideshows with ease, for only 99 cents! What are you waiting for? Check out our video review!

This application will allow you to seamlessly select all the photos you want in your slideshow, then gives you a variety of options so you can customize it to your liking, which is quite nice. This includes whether you want to shuffle the photos, add a Ken Burns effect, and which transitions you’d like to use. You can even add music to your slideshow, which allows you to customize it even further. The only catch is that you have to use your laptop to transfer the music to the application, it does not allow you to use music directly from your iPod app. All in all, it’s rich in features.

If you’re hesitant towards spending 99 cent on the application, there’s a lite version of the application. I gave the lite version a try at first and immediately fell in love with it, which led to me purchasing the full version.

One thing I felt was missing was the lack of our iPod music library right in the application. Apple has made its iPod.app APIs available so developers can utilize our media. However, this application requires the use of a computer to sync music to the application. Quite lame, if you ask me. Possible update in the future can fix this though, and so I’ll be emailing the developer shortly.

Anyways, check out the video review:

Overall, Slideshow Builder for the iPhone is a fantastic application. It features an abundant amount of features, and I’m sure anybody who purchases it will be happy. It makes a normal desk turn into an ultra cool one. It enhances the environment. Definitely check this one out!

Are you a fan of 1password for your mac? Looking to have the same experience on the go? 1Password for iPhone is great for just that. You can enter passwords for all your accounts, without ever having to memorize them. This allows you to have added security (tougher passwords). All this for a price of $6.99, review below!

If you aren’t familiar with 1password, it basically allows you to store all your passwords in one place. The application itself is very secure, whether you’re on your mac or your iPhone. You have to set two unlock codes for it. One is the normal unlock code, and the other is a master code. This assures that anybody who uses your iDevice will not steal your confidential information.

Once you have 1password, you can set a very long, secure pass code without having to bear the pain of memorizing it. That was so 1990, wasn’t it? Simply unlock the app and look at the password you set, it’s really not a pain (even though it sounds like it).

There is a huge assortment of passwords that you can add into the application, including: Amazon, eBay, Facebook, Gmail, Paypal, Wells Fargo, and Yahoo. These were just some of the popular templates built into the application. You are not limited to only these in any way.

Not only can you add passwords in the application, but notes as well. This makes the app great for storing all sorts of confidential info, just be careful when setting your unlock code and master passcode!

Although on the expensive side of the App Store, 1password is perfect for anyone looking to step up their security without having to go through the trouble of memorizing all your passwords. We recommend it! There’s also a pro version of it for $15. Better safe than sorry, right? Let us know how you like the app, drop a comment below!

Our Rating: 4/5

UPDATE: It’s up to $9.99 now.

If you’re looking to enhance your photos or completely change their look or feel, you should check out Camera+ for the iPhone. Noted as the best photography app on the iPhone market, it features an abundant amount of features, so much so, that many users are replacing their default camera app on their device with this one. Keep on reading for the full video review!

Besides all the features of Camera+, it also shows other developers why they should have a nice looking icon. Personally, I replaced the camera app on my iPhone with this one simply because its icon is much better eye candy.

When you first open up the app, you are greeted by a virtual DSLR camera with several options in the center. The DSLR camera actually works, and if you do not pick one of the options available, you can take a picture straight from there! Quite a neat addition, isn’t it? You’ve got two options – Lightbox, or “Take Photos.” Lightbox is basically the library. It will show you the pictures you’ve taken and edited, and you can also edit pictures already in your photo album on your iDevice. When taking a photo, you can even use zoom. Too bad iOS4 has this covered.

Once I have an image in my lightbox, I can edit it, save it to camera roll, copy it, or share it via Facebook, email, and Twitter. Editing provides you with a variety of choices, including adding scenes, cropping it, adding effects, and borders. These are some very handy tools to have, especially on a mobile device.

What I found interesting in the application was the addition of camera stability. Basically, it takes a photo when it realizes the device is not moving around. One thing I felt missing was the lack of the video camera. Hopefully a future update fixes this!

Today, at the New Music Seminar in New York, Pandora announced that they have surpassed the 60 million users milestone. They had announced 40 million in December, and 50 million in April. Not bad for an online radio service, eh? Keep reading for the details!

They are now adding more users at a far more rapid rate than ever before. In 2009, it took them a full year to double their amount of subscribers. One factor that may have caused this increase may have been the demo of Pandora for iPhone given to demonstrate multitasking fully working on the iPhone/iPod Touch platform. Undoubtedly, millions of people watched it, and hence expanding their user base.

With the ability to stream their favorite music in the background, more people will be using the application. I know I’m in this category – I didn’t use Pandora until the iOS4 update (Multitasking was a killer new feature in the new firmware). Pandora was already a very well-known app on the iOS platform, and this update helped it even more.

In case you did not know, Pandora is a cross-platform application, working on Android, iPhone, as well as your computer’s browser. This will definitely help with their growth as well, something that other companies fail to understand. Pandora is still spreading however, to your TV, and possibly, your car.

What is Pandora? Pandora is an internet service that allows you to listen to virtual radio stations online. They have over 90,000 artists, and not all of it is even being used. Only 80% of them are being played monthly. Pandora is a huge company now, and it’s ironic the company was close to bankruptcy not too long ago. Now, they are making a considerable sum of money, but then again, who wouldn’t if they had 60 million users of their service?

Download Pandora for iPhone

Download Pandora for Android

Pandora for Your Computer Browser

iOS4 Multitasking – Pandora for iPhone:

Are you looking to tether your iPhone’s data to your computer for free without jailbreaking? Handy Light for iPhone will do that, for only 99 cents. How did Apple allow this into the App Store? Keep reading for the details!

Nick Lee, the developer of Handy Light, has put the application into the App Store as a disguise. It’s a simple flashlight application, or so the app description says. The video above shows how cleverly the developer is able to tether his device using his application which is currently in the App Store for a mere 99 cents.

The application shows no sign of having the capability to do this, and hence the developer demonstrates how to in the video. A mac is required. Be sure to grab it quick before it’s pulled! An application by the name of Netshare, by Nullriver, also provided a similar functionality back in 2008 and was immediately pulled.

Apple tells its developers to clearly state any “easter eggs” in the description. Nick Lee has not done that (If he did, the application would definitely not be in the App Store today), and hence they will remove it.

For any of you that are unfamiliar with the concept of tethering – It’s basically transferring your iPhone’s 3G connection to your laptop through USB. It’s free on many carriers, but AT&T has recently announced that they will offer it for $20 monthly. Why not spend a 1-time 99 cent fee to get the same functionality?

Download Link

UPDATE: It was pulled from the App Store, so only the lucky few who were able to purchase it early will be able to use it.

I like to use my iPhone occasionally for gaming, when I have some spare time. Recently, I heard some good things about Archetype for iPhone, so I decided to pick it up. Archetype for iPhone contains the best graphics I have seen on a mobile device to date, and utilizes the new iPhone 4 high resolution display. Keep on reading for more details!

Archetype for iPhone is one of the many FPS games currently available in the iTunes App Store. It is one of the few apps that actually takes advantage of the iPhone 4′s high resolution display. For $2.99, you’re getting a great online-only experience (No campaign/story mode), with great graphics and it truly is a ton of fun.

I’ve actually tried quite a few FPS games on the iPhone so far, and to date, like this one the most. The only disappointment so far is the lack of campaign mode, which is featured in its rival, Nova for iPhone. However, Nova will run you an additional $2. One feature that I quite enjoy in Archetype is the ability to add friends. You can send a request to play with them whenever they are online, and it will automatically put you in the same team as well.

Now, to the actual gameplay of the application. The controls are relatively simple, and anybody can pick it up and play. They’re similar to the other FPS games available on the App Store, so anybody who has played one before should have no problem playing this. The left half of the screen controls your character’s movement, and the right half controls its aim/sight.

One thing I noticed in Archetype was that your gun automatically fires for you. You have the option to turn this off in the settings of the game, which is great. The gun will automatically fire for you as long as you have your crosshairs set on another player, whether they are an opponent or an ally. If an ally kills you three times, you have the option to kick him out of the match, or forgive him. I was impressed by this neat little implementation. This game requires an active data connection, either 3G or WiFi. When you go online, you can watch a few tutorials to get the hang of the game, train, or play team deathmatch. The gunfire sounds/effects are crisp, and if you’re using an iPhone 4, you will really enjoy the game even more than you would on a normal screen.

Overall, Archetype for iPhone is a great FPS for the iPhone, and my personal favorite. Although it does not have a campaign mode for offline gaming, it is still worth the price tag. You can pick it up today for $2.99 and enjoy some high quality shooting action either online or with yours friends (or both!). Definitely take a look at this great app in the iTunes App Store.

Our Rating: 4/5

As a precautionary, many users have software setup to keep track of where there iPhone is. To date, there only two ways of doing so.

The iPhone is one of the most well-known phones around, and one must be careful when using it in public, since most people know it has a lot of value. As a precautionary, many users have software setup to keep track of where there iPhone is. To date, there only two ways of doing so. One, by having a jailbroken device, or, two, by purchasing mobile me ($99). Now, there is an amazing app called Device Locator for iPhone in the App Store which allows non-jailbroken users to locate their device, for the price of $2.99.

The developer claims it will work only on iDevices that can handle multitasking and have a GPS, which narrows it down to the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. However, the description of the app says it will work on the iPhone 3G, but it will have to be open all the time if you want real-time locations.

Device Locator has two modes in it. One is for normal use, which works by pinging a server with the location every time your iPhone connects to a new cell network, giving you a general idea of where your iPhone is. The ideal example of usage for this would be keeping track of where your child is. The other is for emergency uses, where it shows you up-to-date locations on a map every minute, and will be much more accurate than normal mode. If you choose to enable emergency mode, don’t be surprised if your battery drains faster than normal.

Although the website is fairly basic, at the moment, the developer is actively updating it with many new things. One of these updates will be a switch to the more reliable Google apps engine. He also hopes to add a full tracking map, and the ability to see how long the device is at each location.

If you aren’t too keen on paying $99 for mobile me, definitely give Device Locator for iPhone a go, for $2.99.

Sometimes, casual games sell far more copies than hardcore games, and this seems to be the case here on the iPhone platform. Following Doodle Jump‘s success, Fruit Ninja has sold 1 million copies to date on the iPhone App Store, which is quite impressive. Keep reading for the details!

Remember our review on this incredible game? It’s been at the top of the charts for quite a while, and now Halfbrick Studios reports that they’ve recently passed the 1 million sales mark, leading to this incredibly cheesy photograph of all the people involved in making this happen. All this success is similar to Doodle Jump, which hit three million sales not too long ago. Doodle Jump is also a cheap, addictive game, and there seems to be a pattern in the success of the apps on the app store. Most of the successful ones are simple, casual type games that you would expect to play on a mobile phone. The iPhone makes it all much more interactive with its amazing touch screen.

Some of you may be familiar with this app, and some of you may not be. Fruit Ninja for iPhone is an epic game with a simple, yet surprisingly, addictive concept. The objective of the game is to slice fruit, and there are several modes in which to play in. One is timed, and the other gives you three lives. If you miss a fruit, you lose a life, miss three fruits and the game is over.

It also turns out that Halfbrick Studios is apparently creating an HD version of this great game for all of you iPad users to enjoy on your gorgeous large screens.
