    Appboy at SxSW
SxSW is just around the corner! Three members of our team (@cezinho@billmag@jon_hyman) are heading to Austin from Friday, April 8 to Tuesday, April 12 to participate in the Interactive festival and follow the latest developments in mobile. We’ll also be shooting video interviews with app entrepreneurs to learn about their successes, challenges and outlook on the ecosystem. If you’re interested in meeting us and/or participating in the video, shoot us a note at hello@appboy.com.

    Android SDK in beta
We’re excited to announce that our Android SDK (versions 2.2+) is in beta. Our tech team is currently working with a small number of developers to test the platform and make sure it’s smooth and stable. If you have an Android app and would like to be part of this process, send us a note at support@appboy.com.

    New platform features
We’ve added a new set of features to our platform to strengthen the core Appboy experience. They include:

Events API: Appboy’s SDK now supports server-side custom events, creating a seamless connection between our platform and your data. For example, you can merge customer behavior data from your website with customer profiles in your app.

Revenue metrics: Appboy now displays ARPU (avg. revenue per user) and ARPPU (avg. revenue per paying user) for all customer segments. This helps you identify valuable users as well as those who need an incentive to convert.

Flexible date filters: Appboy now gives you more power to segment customers based on dates. We added a specific date filter to our existing relative date option, which lets you define segments like “most recently used app before March 1.”

    Appboy-HootSuite-Integration

    HootSuite integration
We just announced a special integration with HootSuite to make apps more social. Appboy customers can now see what their apps’ users are saying on Twitter, and also access key user data like session count, Klout score, and in-app purchases directly from HootSuite’s dashboard. This integration is the first of its kind, and we’re thrilled to add a strong social component to our arsenal of tools that drive customer engagement. You can read more about the integration on PandoDaily and access it directly on HootSuite.
