Apple released iOS 6 on Wednesday, and we’re pleased to announce that as of yesterday Appboy supports full iOS 6 compatibility. We’ve also made a few UI improvements — our customizable buttons now use iOS standard elements, and they look great! We’ll be working to release further support for new iOS 6 features over the next few weeks and perform more testing after the iPhone 5 release. You can download the update by logging in to appboy.com.

    What’s Next?
We’re waiting for the iPhone 5’s release to test some remaining features, mainly concerning ARMv7s support. While Appboy successfully builds against ARMv7s in the simulator, we’ll be doing more hardware testing to ensure reliability. If you see any issues while upgrading the SDK, email us at support@appboy.com.

We’re also looking to take advantage of the new features in iOS 6. In particular, we’re looking at how we can leverage Apple’s Social Framework, which simplifies Facebook and Twitter integration. We’ll be simplifying our sharing API to use the Social Framework where possible, while still providing the same high-quality tracking and reliability that Appboy currently provides.
