We’ve had a great month at Appboy, and we’re excited to announce another iteration of the Appboy SDK for iOS. If you’ve downloaded the SDK this week, then you’re already up-to-date. Otherwise, head over to Appboy.com to get version 1.4 now. You can find a full list of changes in the changelog.
User Identification
Appboy now accepts Foursquare and email-based account credentials, allowing you to take advantage of the valuable information users provide when signing in to your app. If you pass Appboy a user’s credentials, we’ll process sign-ins in the background for a seamless user experience. Providing credentials will allow us to provide richer user profiles to help you respond to feedback, monitor your social media, and power targeted messaging (coming soon).
Improved App Integration
We’ve significantly simplified the process of integrating Appboy. You can remove any references to [AppboySession isReady] guard clauses around Appboy calls. Appboy will now go to the correct page and display a spinner when necessary. We’ve also included several UI improvements based on developer feedback.
Questions About Appboy?
