So the Galaxy SIII has officially been unveiled and by all standards, it seems like a definite step forward in the world of mobile technology. As usual, The Verge has the Web’s most comprehensive review of the device and if you are considering the SIII, you should read it here.

While the review is indeed very long, one thing stood out to me. Samsung had a real opportunity here to outdo Siri, which we have already established is nothing more than some very aggressive marketing on the part of Apple. Yes, Siri stinks! There, I said it.

Samsung had a long time to work on its version of a voice assistant, S-Voice and release something truly innovative and helpful. Sadly, it failed, as you can watch in the video below.

In some cases, Siri answers correctly and S-Voice does not. In others, both are way off. Very rarely can S-Voice come up with an accurate answer when Siri does not.

Oh well, maybe the Galaxy S4 will have some interesting voice technology when it debuts.

Then again, by then we will have an iPhone 5 or maybe even 6…
