Remember the good old days when companies would actually advertise their own products and not focus on taking shots at their competitors? Well, I think we can all agree that as far as the tech space is concerned, those days are long gone.

Pretty much every player in tech has been putting its advertising team to work in an effort to create the most viral ad that bashes the competition, which more often than not, is Apple.

Now that we established that everyone is doing it, it is important to note that some companies are doing it well, while others horribly. RIM is an example of the latter. And that is an understatement.

Microsoft and Nokia have been doing some interesting things on this front, but the leader in the “Make awesome ads that include cheap shots at Apple” space is most definitely Samsung and this latest campaign is no different.

While the campaign is not even about mobile phones, but about Samsung memory components, if you watch closely, you might notice some Apple references like the Apple spinning beach ball in the Loading Ball Larry ad.

The three ads create fictional characters that cause frustration for users by causing technical issues with various devices. The ads are entertaining, professional, and most importantly, they get the point across without insulting anyone. See that, RIM? I know. Genius, right?

Watch the three ads below, you will surely enjoy them!
