Apple is launching the new iPad as I write these words. Apple stores around the globe are now experiencing the famous fanboy lines that we have all heard so much about. As of a few days ago, many leading bloggers and tech journalists released their official hands-on review of the new iPad.

After having watched and read all the reviews, I would say, the only one you need to watch and read is that of The Verge.

The Verge is one of the newer additions to the saturated tech blogging space and they have pretty much proven to everyone that there is no such thing as too late so long as you bring a good offering. Their content has been stellar and they bring true expertise combined with a well-designed site, and a whole portfolio of content types including a podcast and an hour-long live show (which I truly enjoy watching).

So out of the dozens of professional reviews out there, why this one? Well for two reasons. For starters, it is thorough, very thorough. Everything you need to know about the new iPad including who should get it and who should not, as well as its advantages and disadvantages, it’s all here. But there is another reason that, in my opinion, is more important.

The reviewer, Joshua Topolsky is a well-known, well I am not going to say Apple hater, but at least an Android fanboy. He uses a Galaxy Nexus and he consistently praises Android and sometimes even goes at it with Apple fanboys like MG Siegler. Why does this matter? Because despite Joshua’s love for all things Android, he gives an overwhelmingly positive review of the new iPad, while maintaining objectivity and discussing its shortcomings as well.
