Winter Wake-up for iOS and Android Sets Your Alarm Clock Based on the Weather

By: Hillel Fuld

I can’t say I remember the last time I woke up to my car covered in snow to the point that I had to shovel it out before going to work. Then again, I didn’t own a car when I lived anywhere in which that scenario is even possible. Having said that, if you live in such a place, you are surely familiar with the frustration that goes along with waking up to discover that your car is buried in snow and the first thing you need to do in the morning is an hour and a half of shoveling.

Well, in today’s overflowing app stores, any developer who can come with an idea so unique that is it truly one of a kind, deserves our praise. Winter Wake-up, an app for iOS and Android did  just that.

The app developed by the digital agency, Boondoggle, collects weather information as you sleep and if it indeed snowed overnight, it will set your phone’s alarm clock to wake you up with enough time to shovel your car out of the snow.

If the weather is REALLY bad, it will let you sleep in, if you set the app to do that. Pretty creative and entertaining concept. Check out the video below. You can download the app on iOS here and on Android here.
