Mind-Controlled Siri: Maybe A Hoax, but Kinda Makes You Wonder

Maybe I have watched one too many movies, but the ability to control your phone using your mind might not be available yet, but something tells me we will do just that in the future.
A video has been circulating the Web for the last few days showing a few hackers who have managed to create a system that allows users to think a command (“Call dad”.) after which Siri implements it.
Of course, while everyone reported the hack, it wasn’t long before it was labeled a hoax by experts. You can see some of the reports here and here, as well as the argument that it is not authentic here.
Whether it is real or not really does not matter at this point. What matters is, will this technology be available in the future? The answer, I think everyone agrees is yes. Oh, and you gotta hand it to these guys for putting on a show with some seriously good acting.
