If iOS 5 Assistant Is Even Half as Cool as This Video Mockup…

You might recall Apple bought a little startup called Siri back in April 2010. Well for over a year now, many have wondered what Apple intends on doing with Siri’s voice technology. The wait is over and iOS5, which is expected to make its debut next week, is said to have a new tool called Assistant deeply integrated into the OS.

Of course, no one knows exactly how Assistant will work but Macrumors has managed to put together one of its famous mockup videos. While Android has had voice integration pretty much from day one, iOS voice technology has fallen behind. If the below video is even somewhat accurate, Assistant in iOS5 is going to be pretty darn impressive.
