Eating out can be expensive. If you have kids it is even pricier. Lots of restaurants offer deals for kids such as kids eat for free days or
kids get a free drink. The problem is knowing what deals are available in your area, and what day (or days) they are good for. The iPhone is basically information at your fingertip that you can access quickly, and with that said, I cannot believe it took someone this long to develop an app like Kids Eat Free. What’s even better about it is that it’s only $2.99, so it pays for itself back in just one meal!
This app is a parent’s best friend looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. It gives you local deals and also tells you when they are
offered including any stipulations you should know before heading out.
Kids Eat Free opens up to a page displaying deals in your direct area listed cleanly,t his does require authorizing the phone to use it’s built in location software to locate you. The list is extremely easy to read. Listed vertically are locations and next to each location is either a thumbs up meaning the deal is good right now or a clock telling you they do offer a deal but it is not available today.
On the bottom of the page are a few icons, nearby, which is what you open to browse, which shows you even more restaurants and allows you to click on them to see what days they run a kids eat free special. Next up is the standard Map icon that all iPhone users have grown a custom to using the all to familiar pins to show locations.
There is also an Add button that allows you to input a spot that may have been over looked by the designers. Lastly, there is the More tab that allows you to quickly look up restaurants you favorited and also search for a specific place by name.
If you don’t have kids this app has nothing to offer you unless you spend lots of time with people who do. If you have kids or hang out
with people with children this is a must have app. I am truly amazed at how many quality functions have been packed into this app and also by how easy to use it is. The user interface is nicely done allowing for extended time per use. The app also incorporates Yelp reviews and a public voting option to further enrich your search for the right restaurant.
Seriously, for all you parents out there, you need this app. Kids Eat Free for iPhone may seem a little pricey at $2.99 but it pays for itself after only one use use! Pick it up today in the app store, I highly recommend it!
