Go All In With World Series of Poker Hold’em Legend for iPhone

We are all looking for a good game of Texas Hold ‘em. Am I right? World Series of Poker Hold’em Legend, by Glu, does the trick for me. WSOP has me hooked with the clean graphics and interactive game-play. I have played many other poker games on my iPhone, but none of them compare to this game.

WSOP offers an overhead view of the poker game table. You are able to play with up to 8 opponents. There are three game modes: Cash Game, Multiplayer (with wifi), or Legend Career. The core game mode is Legend Career, inside of that you can play through seven different venues with increasingly expensive buy-ins. Just be careful with your winnings. Once you lose it all, you go back to the free game at the pub. I have tried the Multiplayer mode many times, but I have to admit that I am not a big fan. The lag time is way too long. It had nothing to do with my wifi strength since I was sitting in the same room as the router. For me, I spend all of my time in the Legend Career mode. Legend Career offers faster game play with greater cash gains.

There is a video introduction for each venue. It’s a nice touch, but I always press on the screen to end the video so I can speed things up. Do you watch the videos each time? Leave a comment below, I would love to hear your thoughts. Once you have enough money to play at different venues, you will find an opponent who is looking to take you out. Below is a picture of Victor. Looks like Teddy KGB from the movie Rounders. He will give you a small insult if you bust, or get angry when he goes bust. It’s kind of comical actually.

Game controls are very simple. When you want to fold, it’s just a simple swiping of your cards into the center of the table. You can check by double-tapping, or tap once in the center of the table to bet. When it’s your turn to bet, it brings up a turn wheel which allows you to set the dollar amount to bet. Again, you can swipe your chip stack to the center to go all-in. If you pay close attention to the players, you will see either an exclamation point or a question mark by their avatars. Players showing the exclamation point have a strong hand, while players showing a question mark have a weak hand.

World Series of Poker Hold’em Legend is available in the App store for $0.99. In my opinion, it is worth a whole lot more than that simply because of the hours of game-play you will get out of it. If you play often like me, you too can be the WSOP champion. How much money have you won in this game? I would love to know.  Please share with us your highest bankroll in the comments or reach out to me on Twitter.
