Camera Sutra: Photobooth for your iPhone 4!
When it comes to useful iPhone applications that are for hard work and productivity, this one is not one of them. What it is perfect for is parties and family reunions where you can be less amusing and just whip our your brand new iPhone 4 to take funny pictures of people. Basically it is Photobooth on your iPhone, working with both the 3GS and 4 model it brings hours of fun to the party. Just click the screen to select an effect, from twirl to mirror. It packs a bunch that are currently in Photobooth but I assume more are on their way.
Unfortunately, it won’t allow you to flip the camera around with that iPhone 4 swap button so you have to get really close to people or let them hold your iPhone to use it. I have reached out to the developer and have received no comment on when this will become available, or a button that allows you to preview photos just taken.
Another much needed feature is the ability to rotate, which it does not. Fitting more people into these silly photos is of course just what we all need. In-application purchases for more effects would be a nice addition but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. Overall, a great cheap app that has plenty of fun and amusement.
