3G Unrestrictor for iPhone App Review
Tired of watching YouTube videos in terrible quality when streaming over 3G? Looking to take FaceTime over 3G? 3G Unrestrictor for iPhone is a jailbroken application that does just that, plus a lot more, for $3.99. Keep reading for the full review!

What 3G Unrestrictor basically does is it fools any application on your iPhone into thinking it is on WiFi, allowing you to use it without any restrictions whatsoever. This comes in handy for a variety of apps, including the App Store, iTunes, and Phone.app.
It’s very useful for the App Store because, as you may or may not know, you are limited to a mere 20mb. Once you enable the App Store in 3G Unrestrictor, it will not have any restriction on the downloads, because it thinks you’re on WiFi. This’ll work in the iTunes Store if you’re looking to download lengthy podcasts, as there is a limit there as well.
Earlier this year, when Skype for iPhone did not allow calling over 3G, I used 3G Unrestrictor to allow doing so. It’s quite a handy tool to keep on your iPhone. Now, it’s been updated to support FaceTime over 3G, and I’m sure this gave it a noticable boost in sales.
There is, unfortunately, no free trial to this application, unlike the MyWi app we reviewed earlier.
Its competitor, My3G, was actually the first application in Cydia to allow FaceTime over 3G. Sure, 3G Unrestrictor wasn’t first to the party, but it implemented it the best, in my opinion.
Overall, 3G Unrestrictor is a must-have application for any jailbroken iPhone user. $3.99 is a reasonable rate for an application that’s very useful. Definitely check this application out!
