Camera+ for iPhone – Video Review

If you’re looking to enhance your photos or completely change their look or feel, you should check out Camera+ for the iPhone. Noted as the best photography app on the iPhone market, it features an abundant amount of features, so much so, that many users are replacing their default camera app on their device with this one. Keep on reading for the full video review!

Besides all the features of Camera+, it also shows other developers why they should have a nice looking icon. Personally, I replaced the camera app on my iPhone with this one simply because its icon is much better eye candy.

When you first open up the app, you are greeted by a virtual DSLR camera with several options in the center. The DSLR camera actually works, and if you do not pick one of the options available, you can take a picture straight from there! Quite a neat addition, isn’t it? You’ve got two options – Lightbox, or “Take Photos.” Lightbox is basically the library. It will show you the pictures you’ve taken and edited, and you can also edit pictures already in your photo album on your iDevice. When taking a photo, you can even use zoom. Too bad iOS4 has this covered.

Once I have an image in my lightbox, I can edit it, save it to camera roll, copy it, or share it via Facebook, email, and Twitter. Editing provides you with a variety of choices, including adding scenes, cropping it, adding effects, and borders. These are some very handy tools to have, especially on a mobile device.

What I found interesting in the application was the addition of camera stability. Basically, it takes a photo when it realizes the device is not moving around. One thing I felt missing was the lack of the video camera. Hopefully a future update fixes this!
