The Father’s Day App Blowout provides a nice alternative to the typical tie or nose hair trimmer that you might otherwise get for you beloved Dad. If you’ve got an iPhone addict for a father (hey, I’m a dad and think this is a great idea), why not buy him a few apps.
While I was somewhat hesitant to write another iPhone 4 post since it is all anyone is talking about, this device really looks like it is going to live up to all its hype, unlike other past devices such as the first generation iPhone for example. However, I am not going to talk about specs and how they compare to the HTC Evo 4G or Incredible nor am I going to talk about iOS vs. Android.
The past few days have been completely action filled and loaded with some great geek drama. The iPhone 4 was released for preorder, at least in theory. Customers trying to place the order on Apple.com were met with some serious errors and timeouts, and from what is being reported, the issue was on AT&T’s side.
When I first got my BlackBerry, which I expected to be the ultimate email machine, there were some things that left me wanting more. There was the whole lack of two way syncing with Gmail, which meant that everything I deleted from my inbox on my computer would require a second deletion from my BlackBerry. The other thing that left me scratching my head was the way the BlackBerry did not save contact information of people with whom you are communicating.
Recently, I picked up a neat-looking iPhone app called Voices. It was such a great app, that I’m here reviewing it for you guys. You definitely need to check it out – the graphics are superb, and at 99 cents, you can’t get a better app for this (if you’re looking to have some fun). Watch the full video review after the break!
If you’re like me, you get bored often (especially since it’s close to the end of the school year). Omegle is the perfect solution for anybody who is bored – it puts you in a private chatroom with a random person (that you don’t know). Originally, you could only access it on your computer, but now, with Omegle 2 for iPhone, you can take it on the go! Video review after the break!
I feel everywhere I look people are having the old iPhone Vs. Android debate. Granted I am mostly looking in very geeky places, but still, this is a pretty common discussion in my circles. Before the announcement of iPhone 4, many thought Android was going to take the lead soon and some believed it already had when it came to technology and specs.

Apps with new, totally original ideas in the App Store is a rare occurrence. Most apps you’ll find have a number of other apps doing the similar, or even the exact same thing. This isn’t exactly a bad thing however. Similar apps create competition and the consumer has a variety of choices to find their perfect app. Mega Jump is an unoriginal, copycat game to apps like Doodle Jump or Papi Jump. But, it’s a heck of a lot fun, super addicting and done so well, you’ll be playing for hours. Mega Jump will cost you $0.99. Video after the break!
