Five iPhone Apps Guaranteed to Increase Your Productivity
Everybody these days seems as if they’re always busy. To gain some karma, I’ve decided to put together this article with some of the most useful iPhone applications I found that will help you boost your productivity level to the max.

1. Appbox Pro
Appbox Pro for the iPhone is a haven for a plethora of useful apps all bundled into one. It features:
- Battery Life (useful for non-3GS owners)
- Clinometer
- Currency
- Dashboard
- Date Calc
- Days Until
- Flashlight
- Holidays
- Loan
- pCalender
- Price Grab
- Random
- Ruler
- Sale Price
- System info
- Tip calc
- Translator
- Unit Converter
- Google Books
- Collapse
- Apple Web Apps (second page, not shown in screenshot)
This application will run you $1.99, and it may seem basic, but it truly is quite helpful. Appbox Pro is basically a mini library of 21 simple, useful applications in it. If you’d like to get a feel for the application, you can try out the free lite version before buying the paid pro version.

2. CNN
CNN is one of the most famous news channels on TV. Why not skip the TV and spend a couple minutes to read it all up while you’re waiting for your appointment or meeting? If you’re looking for a bit extra, they also have videos that you can watch, even over 3G. This is all packed into a beautiful and easy-to-use user interface. Just like Appbox Pro, this will run you about $1.99. You can even filter through the topics by picking which headlines you’re interested in reading. This will definitely help you save some extra time.

3. Beejive IM
Now, this application has a very steep price, higher than the average paid iPhone app price, at $9.99. You can check out out review here.
Basically, Beejive is a combination of all your favorite chat clients built into one rock solid application. It features Facebook, Gtalk, MySpace, Jabber, AIM, and many, many more. You won’t have to switch between apps back and forth just to talk to your friends, since you can now talk to all of them in one app. It even features push notifications so you can be doing other things on your iPhone, like responding to emails, and still be connected to all your friends! When you receive a new IM, you will receive a notification that will automatically open up the Beejive for you so you instantly respond.

4. Converbot
Converbot for iPhone allows you to easily convert literally any unit into another. It costs $1.99, which is just right for the application, especially considering all its features. It features a unique, and gorgeous user interface, which resembles the look of the iPod clickwheel. You can choose which unit you want to start with, and which unit you’d like to end with by scrolling to the category of your choice. This application will save you lots of time wasted by using google if you want to convert something. Very easy to use and helpful, especially since it’s available in your pocket.

5. 1Password
1Password for the iPhone allows you to store your password for virtually everything you use. This may seem silly, but you’ll understand when you actually enter a scenario where you’ve forgotten your password while on your iPhone and you’re short on time. Say, if you wanted to access your facebook account on your iPhone, but forgot your password. It would be a big pain to open up your browser, enter your email that you signed up with (especially if you don’t remember which email you signed up with), reset your password, and confirm it, just to log on to your account. Instead, you can store all your passwords (for anything, really) in this handy little app. Anytime you forgot it, you enter your master passcode into the app and it gives you access to all your passwords. Of course, you need to fill in the passwords yourself, it doesn’t magically get it. The only thing you really need to remember is the master unlock code for the app itself, so you can access all your entered passwords. This is very helpful in keeping away intruders on your iPhone from your beloved passwords, and definitely saves a lot of time. Only downside is that it costs about $5, which is on the higher end for an iPhone app. If you want to take it up a notch, you can even buy the pro version.
Hopefully, these five iPhone applications will help you maximize your time, and your productivity, so you can spend that extra time on more important things. Of course, these are the five most productive iPhone apps currently in the app store in my opinion. I’m sure there’s an abundance of other useful apps, but these were just some that I particularly found more helpful than the rest.
