This is a pretty big deal. Best Buy recently launched a new website called Best Buy Mobile, in which you can find any and all kinds of information pertaining to the mobile industry. The site has one of the cooler designs I have seen with the entire page designed like a mobile phone. There are tabs for all the different types of content, such as news, reviews, videos, social, and of course apps.

Best Buy Mobile has selected a few websites to partner with from which they take reviews, blogs, tweets, and much more. Appboy was among the few, and we are proud of this partnership. As of a few days ago, you can read all the reviews written on this blog straight on the blog section of Best Buymobile. However, the big news is that the Best Buy Mobile apps page provides links to apps on all the major platforms, and Appboy is the provider of all those apps.

The partnership between Bestbuy and Appboy runs deeper than that too. In addition to providing all the apps and app reviews on Bestbuy, Appboy’s tweets and updates are featured on Best Buy Mobile as well. Not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but Best Buy had many options in terms of who to choose for this role, and they carefully selected Appboy out of the bunch. The Appboy concept was appealing and interesting to them and our ability to provide communication channels to and between mobile developers was a huge advantage for Bestbuy.

Best Buy Mobile is a very interesting concept and since it is part of the Best Buy family, I am pretty sure Best Buy Mobile is going to be a huge success. It is still in its infancy and there are some quirks that need to be worked out, such as adding the videos or screen shots I include in app reviews, but I am sure Best Buy is working on that.

I added Best Buy Mobile to my favorites, and check back there daily to read up on the newest developments of the mobile world. I have come across some great videos, apps, and just general news via the site, and am very excited to see what they will do next with Best Buy Mobile.

So, just a quick shoutout to Best Buy and a congrats on this new concept. We of course also thank you for letting us be a part of it, and look forward to what the future will bring. I also want to issue a personal thanks, since I never thought I would see my name on a Best  Buy site, it is pretty cool I must say, so thanks and good luck.

In terms of our members and featured developers, what this means for you is that from now on, when we tweet or review your apps, or when I interview you on the blog, in addition to being viewed on Appboy, you can expect the entire Best Buy Mobile community to see that post as well. Like I said, this is pretty huge!
